First Days of School

And she's off...yup, Addy's going to preschool.  Everyone is so excited!  Every time someone's asked her if she's excited to go to school, she's responded, "yes, but I'm a little bit nervous."  Mostly nervous about going by herself.  But even in the just first few times I've met Addy's teachers, at orientations and other meetings, they are exceedingly warm, caring and creative, so I know she's going to be fine.  (And editing this post, a few weeks later, Addy later told me one day after school, "Mommy, I'm not nervous anymore.  I just like it."  Said with giant smile on her face.)

I indulged my crafty side and made a chalkboard sign for the first day of school.  You can't really see it in the picture, but the yellow border around the bottom and right side is marked off like a ruler.  The "ruler" starts at preschool and ends with law school (hint, hint, scroll down to see who also had to hold the sign on his first day).
The writing center.

The sensory table full of trees, green sand and animals.

And yes, we made Graham hold the same chalkboard on his first day of law school.  ;)

I love the chalkboard! And love the fact that Graham had to hold it...but doesn't Graham know he's going to PROFESSIONAL school (as one of our classmates used to tell us all the time;)). Where is his nice/pretty first day of school attire???? hehehe.
